Between birth and age three, a child's brain develops at an astonishing pace. The early years are the most active period for establishing neural connections.
Children grow in an environment of relationships. Their healthy development depends on the well-being of their families and communities.

I read your blog also - on a regular basis. You provide excellent info' and as a strong supporter of public education and the government's responsibility to provide this to ALL children I find your blog to be presenting views that I concur with. My mother, would of loved your blog - she spent 20 some years as a director of a Headstart program. Get those little people learning early on - that's what it's all about.
